Chung Metal supplies Super Duplex Steel 2507 Bars and Rods, which are also synonymous with S32750 / S32760 specifications, famous for ultra‑high resistance to localized corrosion and superior mechanical strength. 2507 is most frequently applied where hostile environments and high chloride or acidic exposure are expected. These rods/bars are solution treated and quenched quickly to trap advantageous microstructure, and machined or finished to close tolerances. 2507 is greatly sought where utmost performance in strength, corrosion resistance, and fatigue is needed.
Steel 2507 contains ~25% chromium, ~4% molybdenum, ~7% nickel, nitrogen ~0.28%, carbon very low (<0.03%), traces of manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur. Density ~7.8 g/cm³. Yield strength ~550‑600 MPa, tensile strength about 800‑900 MPa, elongation ~15‑25% depending on section. Very good impact toughness, good hardness for stainless, good performance under stress; retains strength at high temperatures; excellent pitting resistance.
