The composition of stainless steel hollow bars is usually iron, chromium (10.5%–30%), nickel, molybdenum, and trace elements. These bars have high tensile strength (500–800 MPa), yield strength (200–500 MPa), and great elongation (≥ 20%). Hardness is grade-dependent, ranging from 150–500 HB. Austenitic, martensitic, or ferritic structure of the steel offers corrosion resistance, weldability, and stress-durability. Mechanical properties are alloy grade and heat treatment dependent, making hollow bars appropriate for structural and mechanical applications under severe conditions.
