Chung Metal Manufacturer & Suppliers in Da Nang manufactures Titanium Grade 2 Forgings, greatly sought after for its optimal strength, formability, and corrosion resistance. Grade 2 is the most extensively used commercially pure titanium. Our forging procedure gives homogeneous microstructure and few defects. We supply forgings in diverse geometries and sizes, all certified and tested. Clients in chemical, marine, energy, and aerospace industries apply these forgings. With advanced knowledge of titanium metallurgy and strict quality control, Chung Metal is a trusted supplier of Grade 2 forged titanium components for stringent applications.
Titanium Grade 2 contains ~99.2–99.7% Ti with minor amounts of O (≤0.25%), Fe (≤0.30%), C, N, and H. In forged and annealed condition, tensile strength ~345–450 MPa, yield strength ~275–350 MPa, elongation ~20–25%, and hardness ~90–110 HB. Density ~4.51 g/cm³. Fatigue strength and ductility are enhanced by forging compared to cast/rolled conditions. Grade 2 retains very good corrosion resistance in oxidizing and most corrosive media and good weldability and formability.

The durability of Titanium Gr 2 forgings is ensured by factors like high corrosion resistance, excellent strength-to-weight ratio, superior fatigue resistance, heat treatment, proper alloy composition, and precision manufacturing processes.
Titanium Gr 2 forgings are commonly used in aerospace, chemical processing, marine, medical, automotive, and power generation industries due to their corrosion resistance, strength, and lightweight properties.
Open-die forging for Titanium Gr 2 components involves shaping the metal by pressing it between two flat dies. It allows for high strength, uniformity, and precise control, making it ideal for complex, large components.
Titanium Grade 2 forgings are employed in chemical plant pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, structural components, marine hardware, and marine coupling components. They are found in architectural uses, desalination plants, and food processing equipment and medical equipment. The corrosion performance and purity of the alloy make it appropriate for food processing and medical equipment use. Grade 2 forgings are applied in aerospace where the demand for strength is moderate but corrosion resistance is essential. Its ductility facilitates forging intricate shapes like flanges, rings, and forged bodies for diverse industrial uses.
