Chung Metal provides Incoloy 925 Forgings, a nickel-base alloy with cobalt and molybdenum additions for combined high strength, corrosion resistance, and chlorides as well as reducing acid resistance. Incoloy 925 is beneficial in applications where mechanical load and severe chemical exposure coexist. Forgings in Incoloy 925 are produced with controlled chemistry and heat treatment for consistent performance in marine, oil & gas, and chemical processing applications.
Incoloy 925 is normally composed of ~40‑45% nickel, ~20‑25% chromium, minor cobalt (~8‑12%), molybdenum (~4‑6%), along with iron and minute amounts of copper and other stabilizers. Mechanical properties are tensile strength of 700‑900 MPa depending on temper, yield strength lower, elongation moderate (~20‑35%). Distinguished resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Excellent weldability and high toughness.

The ideal temperature range for forging Incoloy 925 is between 1,800°F (982°C) and 2,200°F (1,204°C). Forging should be done within this range to achieve optimal material properties and avoid overheating.
Incoloy 925 forgings require minimal maintenance due to their excellent corrosion resistance. Regular inspection for signs of wear, cracks, or environmental damage is recommended to ensure long-term performance.
Incoloy 925 forgings have limited high-temperature strength beyond 1,600°F (871°C) and may suffer from reduced ductility in extreme conditions. They also exhibit moderate resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in highly aggressive environments.
Incoloy 925 forgings are utilized in offshore platform hardware, seawater valves and piping, chemical process plant equipment, desalination equipment, and oil & gas equipment that is exposed to chloride environments. Also utilized in heat exchangers, pump shafts, impellers, and structural components where extreme mechanical stresses and severe chemical or saline exposure are experienced. Ideal for components in marine, chemical, and petrochemical service.
