Chung Metal exports Nimonic 90 Bars and Rods from its facility in Da Nang to applications needing corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. Nimonic 90 is a nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy that possesses high strength and creep properties up to 900°C. The alloy was created for aerospace and turbine use and is extensively applied in parts subjected to high heat and stress. Chung Metal ensures every rod and bar is produced with precision and strict compliance with global quality standards to serve critical thermal conditions.
Nimonic 90 has about 55% nickel, 20% chromium, 18% cobalt, and titanium and aluminum in small amounts for age-hardening. It develops tensile strengths as high as 1000 MPa and yield strengths of about 700 MPa, with superior resistance to creep and thermal fatigue. The alloy is oxidizing condition stable at high temperatures and hence suitable for heat-intensive usage. It also exhibits good weldability and durability in cyclic temperature conditions.

Yes, Nimonic 90 bars are highly suitable for high-temperature applications. They are known for excellent strength, oxidation resistance, and stability at elevated temperatures, making them ideal for aerospace and turbine components.
Yes, Nimonic 90 bar can be welded, but it requires careful control of heat and welding parameters. Typically, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding is recommended for best results.
Nimonic 90 rod is available in various sizes, typically from 1/8" to 12" in diameter. Common finishes include cold drawn, hot rolled, or bright polished, depending on the supplier.
The Nimonic 90 rods and bars are applied in gas turbines of aircraft, especially in turbine discs, rings, blades, and seals. It is also applied in exhaust valves of high-performance engines and parts that encounter repetitive thermal cycling. Power stations apply it in hot-section components of steam turbines and heat exchangers. Its thermal stability allows its application in furnace hardware, combustion chambers, and heat shields. In applications where high strength at high temperatures is a requirement, Nimonic 90 is a choice of preference.
