Chung Metal is the top manufacturer and distributor of Nimonic Bars and Rods in Da Nang, Vietnam. Nimonic alloys are nickel-based superalloys with superior high-temperature strength, creep, and oxidation resistance. Developed especially for application in gas turbines, nuclear energy, and aerospace industries, these bars provide durable performance at extreme thermal stress. Chung Metal maintains rigorous quality control and precision machining to the international standards. Our Nimonic bars are produced in a range of sizes and finishes to suit the industrial demands requiring exceptional mechanical properties at high temperatures.
Nimonic alloys consist predominantly of nickel (to 80%), chromium, cobalt, titanium, and aluminum. These are precipitation-hardened for increased mechanical strength. They have high tensile strength of 800–1100 MPa and good creep resistance up to 900°C. The yield strength is usually 500–800 MPa with good elongation and fatigue characteristics. They are best suited for high-performance, high-temperature applications where conventional stainless steels become inadequate.

Nimonic rods can be susceptible to galvanic corrosion when in contact with more electropositive metals, especially in the presence of an electrolyte. Proper insulation or coating can help mitigate this risk.
Nimonic bars are available in various sizes, ranging from small diameters (6mm) to larger ones (up to 200mm). Common finishes include hot rolled, cold drawn, and polished.
Yes, Nimonic alloys, including Nimonic 75 and 80A, can be welded. However, proper welding procedures and pre- and post-weld heat treatment are essential to avoid cracking and ensure strength.
Nimonic rods and bars have extensive applications in the production of gas turbine components, exhaust valves, combustor parts, and turbine blades. They are also used in high-temperature bolts, springs, and fasteners for aerospace and nuclear applications. Due to their superior oxidation resistance and thermal fatigue properties, they are also used in jet engine components and thermal power generation systems. Besides, they find application in furnace hardware and chemical processing facilities where long-term stress and heat exposure are demanded.
