Chung Metal manufactures Nimonic C263 Bars and Rods in Da Nang, Vietnam, supplying best-grade superalloys to aerospace, gas turbines, and power generation applications. Nimonic C263 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-cobalt-chromium alloy possessing an optimized combination of high-temperature strength, superior formability, and weldability. It is specifically created for application within hot sections of gas turbines and jet engines, where stability in the face of intense heat is paramount. At Chung Metal, we stock this alloy in various forms and finishes, conforming to rigorous industry standards for mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
Nimonic C263 usually consists of approximately 50% nickel, 20% chromium, 20% cobalt, and 5–6% molybdenum, along with additions of titanium and aluminum. It possesses high tensile strength of up to 1100 MPa and yield strength of about 800 MPa. The alloy possesses good ductility and creep resistance at temperatures up to 900°C. It possesses high oxidation resistance and is very weldable with no chance of cracking or stress-induced deformation.

Nimonic C263 rods are available in sizes ranging from 3mm to 250mm in diameter. Common finishes include hot-rolled, cold-drawn, and polished, offering versatility for various applications.
Yes, Nimonic C263 bar can be welded. It is typically welded using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) or gas metal arc welding (GMAW) with a matching filler material for optimal results.
Nimonic C263 rods and bars are widely utilized in hot section components of gas turbines, jet engine components, liners for combustors, turbine rings, and afterburner sections. The mechanical and thermal fatigue resistance of the alloy makes them suitable for aircraft engines and power plant turbines. The material is also recommended for high-temperature fasteners and structural elements where long-term exposure to heat and pressure is anticipated. It is utilized in industrial furnaces, chemical reactors, and aerospace machinery.
