Tantalum R05240 is a pure unalloyed tantalum (minimum 99.95% Ta) with low interstitial impurities. It possesses tensile strength of approximately 200–450 MPa and yield strength of 100–250 MPa, with elongation >30%. It is very ductile, easily deformable, and resistant to corrosion, particularly to hydrochloric, nitric, and sulfuric acids. Its melting point is over 3,000°C, and it is stable in high-temperature as well as chemically aggressive conditions.
