Chung Metal offers robust Tantalum R05252 Bars and Rods, a tungsten-stabilized alloyed tantalum grade containing 2.5%. The alloy enhances strength and thermal stability with excellent corrosion resistance. R05252 is well-suited for temperatures above normal or where mechanical integrity is paramount. Chung Metal supplies the bars in the highest purity, strength, and machinability, both forged and rolled for chemical processing, aerospace, and defense industries.
R05252 has about 97.5% tantalum and 2.5% tungsten. This is used to increase tensile strength (to 550 MPa) and yield strength (250–400 MPa) while retaining corrosion resistance like pure tantalum. It also provides increased resistance to embrittlement as well as thermal degradation. These bars and rods are ductile, weldable, and resistant in high-temperature acidic environments.
