Austenitic stainless steel alloy, Nitronic 33 has superior mechanical properties and is designed for severe service in extreme industrial conditions. Nitronic 33 offers a cost-effective solution where both strength and non-magnetic properties are needed. Our bars and rods are manufactured in a number of different forms, sizes, and finishes to satisfy client requirements.
Nitronic 33 has about 17–19% chromium, 6–9% nickel, with nitrogen additions controlled to enhance strength and corrosion resistance. The yield strength is generally 400–650 MPa, and tensile strength over 800 MPa. It has excellent ductility and impact qualities as well as being non-magnetic in annealed or cold-worked states. The alloy has resistance to atmospheric and chemical corrosion as well as good formability and weldability.
