Chung Metal provides premium quality Nitronic 50 Bars and Rods, or XM-19, from our state-of-the-art production facility in Da Nang, Vietnam. The nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel is highly corrosion-resistant and has virtually double the yield strength of 316 stainless steel. Nitronic 50 is a combination of strength, toughness, and non-magneticity, making it a perfect choice for critical operations in marine, chemical, and oil & gas sectors. Nitronic 50 contains 20.5–23.5% chromium, 11.5–13.5% nickel, 1.5–3.0% molybdenum, and 0.20–0.40% nitrogen. It provides up to 900 MPa tensile strength and yield strength around 500 MPa in the annealed state, and still greater in the strain-hardened condition. The alloy is non-magnetic and has good pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater or acid surroundings.
