Chung Metal supplies Copper C11500 Bars and Rods, or arsenical copper, that has been designed with increased corrosion resistance and structural properties. C11500 has a trace of arsenic that enhances its resistance to dezincification and to softening at higher temperatures. It is widely applied in marine, heat exchanger, and condenser services where conductivity and mechanical stability at corrosive conditions are required. Our C11500 rods and bars are made with accuracy and quality control, appropriate for industrial and chemical processing uses.
C11500 contains ~99.5% copper and ~0.3% arsenic. It has a tensile strength of 230–310 MPa and yield strength of 80–120 MPa. Elongation is 30–40%. Conductivity is slightly less than pure copper, at ~75–85% IACS. Arsenic added increases resistance to corrosion, erosion, and stress cracking. Excellent machinability and good weldability.
