Chung Metal manufactures Inconel 617 Bars and Rods, which is a nickel‑chromium‑cobalt alloy characterized by high temperature strength, creep resistance, and high oxidation and carburization resistance. 617 alloy is solid‑solution strengthened through cobalt, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium additions. Our rods/bars 617 are manufactured to strict chemical control, fitting heat treatment and finish for severe high temperature applications like gas turbines, power stations, and petrochemical reactors.
Typical composition: Ni ~47‑53%, Cr ~20‑25%, Co ~8‑10%, Mo ~8‑10%, minor Al/Ti, with minor Fe, other minor trace elements. Tensile strength in annealed condition could be around 700‑900 MPa based on section and temper; yield strength lower; elongation moderate (~30‑40%) in annealed; strength maintained at high temperature (700‑1000 °C). Good oxidation and carburization resistance, good toughness and weldability.
