Chung Metal produces and distributes Inconel 625 Bars and Rods, a nickel‑molybdenum‑chromium superalloy with superior corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, and low-temperature stability over a broad range. This alloy is strengthened by solid solution (not precipitation hardening), and is particularly precious in demanding environments like marine, chemical processing, and gas turbine service. Our Inconel 625 rods/bars are made with tightly controlled chemistry, good surface finish, and mechanical consistency to meet stringent operating requirements where exposure to acids, salts, and high temperature is prevalent.
Typical composition: ~58% nickel, ~20‑23% chromium, ~8‑10% molybdenum, ~3‑5% niobium/tantalum, with small amounts of iron, carbon, silicon, and other trace elements. In annealed condition, tensile strength is often ~800‑900 MPa, yield strength somewhat lower (≈ 400‑450 MPa), elongation ≥ 30%. Good fatigue strength, excellent resistance to pitting, crevice, and chloride‑stress corrosion cracking. Operates well from cryogenic up to ~650‑700 °C. Hardness moderate; weldable and formable.

Yes, 625 Inconel bars/rods are highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, making them suitable for seawater and other chloride-rich environments.
Yes, 625 Inconel bars/rods exhibit exceptional strength and fatigue resistance, making them ideal for high-stress applications in aerospace, marine, and chemical industries.
Inconel 625 rods/bars are employed for marine exhausts, seawater pumps and valves, chemical processing (acid service, reactors), oil and gas downhole tooling, heat exchangers, pollution control devices, and aerospace components needing strength and resistance to corrosion. They are also applied in conditions involving high temperature and corrosive media, including flue gas desulfurization, boiler components, and offshore equipment. Weldability and toughness enable them to be used in fabrications where cyclic thermal stress is present.
