Chung Metal provides Inconel 783 Bars and Rods, which is a newer nickel‑cobalt‑iron‑based superalloy with low thermal expansion, resistance to oxidation, and strength in gas turbine engine components. Alloy 783 is age‑hardenable and specially developed for high‑temperature containment, shrouds, rings, casings, and seals where the dimensional stability under heat and mechanical load is essential. Our Inconel 783 materials are manufactured under strict control of microstructure, chemistry, and surface finish to provide high performance for demanding aero and industrial turbine usage.
Common chemistry is nickel‑cobalt‑iron base, aluminum, chromium, and niobium additions. In comparison with Inconel 718, 783 has ~20% reduced coefficient of thermal expansion, marginally reduced density (~7.81 g/cm³), and is age‑hardenable. Serviceable mechanical strength retained up to ~700 °C. Tensile strength relatively lower than optimum tempers of 718 but suitable for structural parts; elongation and ductility are good. Oxidation resistance in cyclic thermal cycles is very good. Characteristics similar formability and processing to Inconel 718.

Yes, the exceptional corrosion resistance of Inconel 783 makes it highly suitable for marine environments, where it can withstand saltwater and harsh conditions.
Yes, we provide bars and rods in standard and customized dimensions and polishes to meet your specific project requirements. For more details mail us on sales@chungmetal.com
Inconel 783 can perform efficiently in environments with temperatures up to 815°C (1500°F), making it suitable for high-temperature industrial and aerospace applications.
Applied in turbine casings, rings of an engine, shrouds, seals, and containment use in aero gas turbines and industrial gas turbines where thermal growth should be reduced. Applied in exhaust systems, structural parts that experience repeated thermal cycling, and other high temperature components where low expansion and resistance to oxidation are needed. Reduced density aids in increasing strength‑to‑weight ratio where weight sensitivity is of concern.
