Chung Metal offers Inconel 722 Bars and Rods, a nickel-cobalt-iron high strength, age-hardenable superalloy for elevated temperature performance with low thermal expansion and excellent oxidation resistance. Alloy 722 is formulated for use in applications such as aero gas turbine hot sections, disks, and structural members where mechanical strength and thermal stability are both desired. Our 722 rods/bars are produced through meticulous alloy control, aging heat treatments, and finishing for reliability.
Typical alloy consists of nickel base with chromium, cobalt, molybdenum, aluminum, and titanium additions such that aging hardening is feasible. Tensile strength in aged condition can be up to ~900‑1200 MPa based on section and condition; yield strength less; elongation in aged moderate (~10‑25%). Good high temperature strength and oxidation resistance. Thermal expansion lower than non‑cobalt alloys; good creep strength at elevated temperature. Weldability moderate; controlled heat treatment required.

Yes, Inconel 722 bars and rods are designed for high-temperature applications, providing excellent thermal stability, strength, and oxidation resistance in extreme industrial environments.
Yes, Inconel 722 bars and rods are recyclable, making them an eco-friendly choice. Their high nickel and chromium content can be efficiently reused in various industries.
Considerations for selecting Inconel 722 bars and rods include temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, specific application requirements, and compatibility with other materials in extreme industrial environments.
Applied in hot sections of aero engines: compressor parts, turbine discs, structural airframe parts exposed to high temperature, combustor parts, afterburner rings, and exhaust nozzles. Also in industrial gas turbines, power generation equipment, and pressure vessels where both stability and high strength in high temperature is needed. Parts subjected to creep, thermal cycling, and oxidation are common service applications.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
