Chung Metal offers Inconel 792 Bars and Rods, a more recent nickel‑based superalloy (UNS N07792), which is intended for high temperature, high strength, and superior thermal stability. Alloy 792 is precipitation strengthened and provides high resistance to thermal fatigue, oxidation, and creep, particularly for aerospace turbine components. Our 792 bars/rods are manufactured with strict control of alloy composition, heat treatment, and finish, intended for high performance gas turbine, jet engine, and power generation components.
Typical analysis: ~60‑63% nickel, ~12‑14% chromium, ~9‑11% cobalt, ~3‑4% aluminum, ~4‑5% titanium, ~1.5‑2.5% molybdenum, ~3.5‑4.5% tungsten, with minor carbon (~0.10‑0.15%), boron, zirconium, etc. Density ~8.10 g/cm³. Tensile strength ~880‑1020 MPa, yield strength ~700‑800 MPa in aged condition. Elongation reduced (~3‑10%) based on section and temper. Good hardness; excellent creep strength at high temperature (some data suggests service up to ~1000‑1100 °C for some components). Good thermal fatigue resistance and oxidation stability.

Yes, Inconel 792 bars and rods are designed for high-temperature applications, providing excellent strength, oxidation resistance, and thermal stability, making them ideal for extreme heat environments.
Yes, Inconel 792 bars and rods are recyclable. Their high nickel and chromium content allows them to be efficiently reused in various industries, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
Inconel 792 bars and rods generally do not require additional corrosion protection coatings due to their inherent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, especially in high-temperature and harsh environments.
Applied in aerospace turbine components that experience thermal cycling, including turbine blades, vanes, nozzle guide vanes, hot-section components, combustion chamber components, and structure components where oxidation and thermal expansion need to be managed. Useful for power generation, advanced aero engines, hot structural components, and exhaust components. Alloys such as 792 are chosen where high temperature strength and oxidation resistance are required along with reasonable manufacturability.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
