Chung Metal supplies Haynes 230 Bars and Rods, a nickel‑chromium‑tungsten‑molybdenum alloy with high oxidation resistance, long term thermal stability, and superior strength to very high temperatures. Alloy 230 finds application in harsh environments like gas turbine components, furnace components, and petrochemical reactors. Bars and rods of this alloy are manufactured with precise control of chemistry and microstructure to ensure high performance at cyclic exposure at high temperatures.
Haynes 230 is roughly made of nickel, chromium, tungsten, and molybdenum in precise amounts (nickel ~57‑60%, chromium ~22‑25%, tungsten ~14‑16%, molybdenum ~1‑2%), with trace amounts. It is not heat‑treatable in a traditional sense but solid solution strengthened and process controlled. Tensile properties at ambient temperature usually about 400‑600 MPa, good creep strength, oxidation resistance up to ~1100 °C. Good toughness, thermal cycling stability, weldability, good for a high‑temperature alloy.

Yes, Haynes 230 rods can be customized in size and length according to specific requirements. Suppliers typically offer customization to meet the needs of various industrial applications.
Haynes 230 bars and rods perform exceptionally well in high-temperature environments, offering excellent oxidation and creep resistance. They maintain strength and stability at temperatures up to 2,000°F (1,093°C).
To maintain Haynes 230 bars, regularly clean them to prevent corrosion, avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, store in a dry, controlled environment, and perform periodic inspections for any surface damage.
Applied in components that are exposed to high temperature and corrosion: furnace retorts, radiant tubes, gas turbine internal components, petrochemical reactor tubes, heat exchanger components, catalytic converters. Also used in jet engine components that are exposed to high heat, exhaust systems, power generation equipment, and industrial furnaces at high temperature. Suitable where long service life under oxidative or corrosive thermal conditions is needed.
