Chung Metal supplies Haynes 625SQ Bars and Rods for severe applications demanding both superior corrosion resistance and high strength. The state-of-the-art version of Alloy 625 is precipitation-hardenable and offers excellent mechanical performance in harsh marine and chemical environments. Produced to close metallurgical specifications, our 625SQ rods have superior weldability, fatigue resistance, and thermal stability. Used in offshore, aerospace, and high-pressure processing systems, Haynes 625SQ is preferred for its versatility and corrosion resistance to chloride, stress corrosion cracking, and thermal fatigue.
Haynes 625SQ is a nickel superalloy with ~58% nickel, 20–23% chromium, 8–10% molybdenum, 3.5% niobium, and minor iron. It has tensile strength >830 MPa, yield strength ~550 MPa, and high creep resistance. The density is about 8.44 g/cm³. The alloy is solution-annealed and precipitation-hardened for maximum toughness and elevated temperature strength. It is resistant to thermal cycling and pitting, oxidation, and scaling in severe industrial environments.
Yes, Haynes 625SQ rods can be customized in size and length according to specific requirements. Manufacturers typically offer tailored dimensions for various applications in industries requiring precise specifications.
Haynes 625SQ Rod is typically available in diameters ranging from 0.125" (3.175mm) to 3.000" (76.2mm), with custom sizes possible. Lengths usually range from 12" to 20' (3.66m).
Haynes 625SQ bars and rods offer excellent performance in high-temperature environments, with outstanding oxidation and carburization resistance, maintaining strength and integrity at elevated temperatures up to 1800°F (982°C).
Applied to aerospace components, pressure vessels, chemical reactors, subsea risers, and seawater use, Haynes 625SQ is a material of choice for components exposed to harsh corrosion and thermal stress. In the oil and gas sector, it is applied to downhole tools, connectors, and pipes. Its ductility and strength also render it ideal for turbine components, bellows, and expansion joints. In marine engineering, it resists salt spray, crevice corrosion, and chloride attack, providing longevity and performance.
