Chung Metal provides Stainless Steel XM19 (Nitronic-50) forgings from our Da Nang plant for uses requiring high strength, corrosion resistance, and toughness. XM19 has high nitrogen levels coupled with the austenitic stainless steel qualities, which make it ideal for marine, aerospace, and chemical applications. Our forging operations provide clean microstructure, certified properties, and strict dimensional control.
XM19 commonly contains ~20–22% Cr, ~11–13% Ni, high nitrogen (~0.10–0.20%), and molybdenum or manganese as an option. Tensile mechanical strength is commonly ~750–950 MPa, yield strength slightly lower, and elongation ~30–40%. Outstanding toughness, non‑magneticity, and superior pitting resistance in chlorides. Excellent weldability, corrosion resistance, and fatigue life.
