Titanium Grade 12 is an alpha-beta alloy consisting of ~0.3% molybdenum, ~0.8% nickel, and balance titanium. These elements of alloying enhance resistance to reducing acids as well as strength when compared to commercially pure grades. Tensile strength is 550–620 MPa, yield strength ~450–520 MPa, and elongation is generally 18–20%. The density is approximately 4.54 g/cm³. It has very good weldability, average formability, and improved corrosion resistance in hot, acidic, or brackish conditions. The alloy retains strength in high-temperature conditions and resists pitting and crevice corrosion well.
