Titanium Grade 4 consists of ~99.2% titanium with greater oxygen (≤0.4%) and iron (≤0.5%) content than other CP grades. This provides it with the highest strength among CP titanium: tensile strength ~550–600 MPa, yield strength ~480–550 MPa, and elongation ~15–18%. Hardness is 130–160 HB. Density is still ~4.51 g/cm³. It has very good corrosion resistance, albeit slightly less than Grade 1. It has good weldability, moderate formability, and very good resistance to fatigue and erosion, which suit it well for load-bearing and pressure-rated applications.
