Titanium Grade 6 (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn) is an alpha alloy of approximately ~5% aluminum and ~2.5% tin with a balance of titanium. It is easy to weld, possesses high strength, and has improved creep resistance. The standard mechanical properties are tensile strength of ~860 MPa, yield strength of ~725 MPa, and elongation of 10–15%. It has a density of ~4.48 g/cm³ and is stable at high temperatures. It offers moderate corrosion resistance and outstanding toughness, making it suitable for aerospace and power generation components at high temperatures.
