What is Titanium Grade 7 Bars/ Rods?

Titanium Grade 7 has ~99.2% titanium and 0.12–0.25% palladium, and trace amounts of oxygen (≤0.25%) and iron (≤0.3%). The presence of palladium greatly enhances crevice corrosion resistance and decreases susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking. Its tensile strength is 340–450 MPa, yield strength ~275–380 MPa, and elongation is generally ~20–24%. Hardness varies between 70–90 HB. It has mechanical properties in common with Grade 2 but surpasses it in corrosion characteristics. It is also readily weldable and suitable for pressure-rated parts.
