Chung Metal supplies 304L stainless steel rectangular bars, the low-carbon version for welding applications in order to prevent intergranular corrosion. Our 304L bars are manufactured to precise dimensions, certified metallurgical consistency, and fine surface quality. Used extensively for their weldability stability, versatility, and corrosion resistance, these rectangular bars are structural and fabrication stock staples in most industrial environments.
SS 304L has ~18–20% chromium, ~8–12% nickel, carbon ≤0.03%. Tensile strength ~485–620 MPa, yield ~170–275 MPa, elongation ~40–50% in annealed condition. Moderated hardness. Excellent corrosion resistance in general environments, with good weldability and formability. Rectangular bars have the same stainless properties as other shapes.
