Chung Metal supplies 310 stainless steel rectangular bars, the carbon-bearing version with somewhat improved strength at high temperatures. Our 310 bars conform to composition and mechanical specifications and have been certified heat-resistant. Customers apply 310 rectangular stock in structural applications involving high temperatures where oxidation and scaling resistance is essential.
SS 310 has ~24–26% chromium, ~19–22% nickel, and up to ~0.25% carbon. It has creep and oxidation resistance in high-temperature service. Mechanicals: tensile ~550–700 MPa (condition-dependent), yield ~225–300 MPa, elongation ~30–40%. Hardness moderate. The greater carbon content produces somewhat higher strength but reduces weldability compared to 310S. Rectangular bars retain the same heat-resisting properties.
