SS 310S has ~24–26% chromium, ~19–22% nickel, carbon ≤0.08%. It has good high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance up to ~1,100–1,150 °C. Tensile strength ~515–740 MPa, yield ~205–375 MPa, elongation ~30–40%. Hardness moderate. Low carbon reduces carbide precipitation and facilitates weldability; rectangular bars have full high-temperature properties.
