Stainless Steel 310 has ~24–26% chromium and ~19–22% nickel, with carbon up to 0.25%. It has very good resistance against oxidation up to 1100–1150°C. Tensile strength is ~550 MPa, yield strength ~225 MPa, elongation ~40%, and hardness around 85–95 HB. Density is ~7.9 g/cm³. In contrast to 310S, 310 is more carbon-rich, offering slightly more strength at high temperatures but less weldability. It possesses superior creep strength and is used in thermal shock environments in common practice.
