Chung Metal produces high-temperature-resistant Stainless Steel 321H Flat Bars with high carbon content, stabilized austenitic stainless steel, for enhanced creep resistance. SS 321H is perfect for uses that include high temperature and pressure, with intergranular corrosion resistance after welding being essential. The flat bar shape suits frames, base plates, thermal processing equipment, and welded constructions. Chung Metal produces 321H flat bars with outstanding mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish to withstand the requirements of industries such as oil & gas, power, and chemical processing.
SS 321H has 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, titanium stabilization, and 0.04–0.10% carbon. It possesses tensile strength of 550–750 MPa, yield strength of 200–300 MPa, and elongation of 35–45%. It also shows excellent performance in high-temperature conditions up to 870°C. Non-magnetic and weldable, SS 321H maintains strength under pressure and heat. Flat profile maintains rigidity with uniform stress distribution.

The primary alloying element in Stainless Steel 321H is titanium (Ti), which stabilizes the steel and prevents carbide precipitation during welding. It also contains chromium (Cr) for corrosion resistance and higher carbon content for increased strength at elevated temperatures.
Stainless Steel 321H is most suitable for high-temperature applications in the range of 427°C to 816°C (800°F to 1500°F). It offers excellent oxidation resistance and stability in these temperatures, making it ideal for heat exchangers and furnace components.
Typical dimensions of a Stainless Steel 321H flat bar range from 3mm to 150mm thickness, 25mm to 600mm width, and up to 6 meters in length. These dimensions vary based on manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
321H flat bars find application in boilers, heat exchangers, furnace components, pressure vessels, welded pipes, and exhaust manifold. They are well suited for high-temperature working conditions like petrochemical installations, refineries, and power plants. Due to the flat shape, they are suitable for use in support plates, heater shields, and industrial wall panels. SS 321H is especially useful where stress rupture and creep resistance is required. Chung Metal provides these bars annealed condition for enhanced fabricability and thermal strength.
