Chung Metal provides long-lasting Stainless Steel 410 Flat Bars, a martensitic stainless steel that can be hardened with high corrosion resistance, toughness, and wear resistance. SS 410 is broadly utilized in mechanical parts and industrial tooling where strength and hardness are considerations. The flat bar product is best suited for cutting blades, wear strips, mounting plates, and machined parts. Chung Metal guarantees every SS 410 flat bar has strict dimensional requirements, smooth surface finish, and mechanical integrity, thus widely used in engineering and manufacturing industries.
SS 410 has 11.5–13.5% chromium and approximately 0.15% carbon. It can be heat-treated to obtain tensile strength of 700–1000 MPa and yield strength of 450–700 MPa, with a hardness of up to 40 HRC. It is magnetic and tough and provides medium corrosion resistance in dry or mildly corrosive conditions. The flat profile facilitates direct machining and structural applications.

Stainless Steel 410 Flat Bars are widely used in applications requiring moderate corrosion resistance and high strength, including automotive parts, cutlery, valves, fasteners, turbine blades, surgical instruments, and industrial equipment due to their martensitic properties.
Standard sizes for SS 410 Flat Bars typically range from 1/4" to 6" in thickness, and 1" to 12" in width, with lengths varying from 10 to 20 feet. Custom dimensions are also available based on specific requirements.
SS 410 Flat Bars can undergo heat treatments such as annealing, hardening, and tempering. Annealing improves ductility, while hardening increases strength and hardness. Tempering after hardening reduces brittleness and enhances toughness, making the material suitable for various applications.
410 flat bars find application in cutting tools, wear-resistant components, valve seats, gear bases, and shafts. They are extensively used in industrial tooling, pumps, machinery, and structural supports with high requirements of hardness. Their flat nature makes them suitable for blade holders, bracket mounts, and fabricated mechanical parts. SS 410 is satisfactory under moderate corrosion, abrasion, and load conditions. Chung Metal supplies heat-treated or annealed 410 flat bars in specified dimensions for meeting engineering and mechanical fabrication needs.
