Chung Metal produces reliable Stainless Steel 430 Flat Bars, a ferritic stainless steel characterized by superior corrosion resistance, formability, and economy. SS 430 is unhardenable and suitable for use where aesthetic appearance, oxidation resistance, and average mechanical strength are needed. The flat bar shape is ideal for structural support, brackets, panels, and general fabrication. Chung Metal supplies SS 430 flat bars of uniform dimensions, clean surface finish, and close tolerances, which are a convenient option for both industrial and ornamental applications, especially in interior architecture, kitchenware, and light equipment.
SS 430 has around 16–18% chromium and minimal nickel content, making it magnetic and less expensive than austenitic grades. It is available with tensile strength of 450–600 MPa, yield strength of 200–300 MPa, and elongation of about 25%. It is heat treatment non-hardenable but cold-workable. Flat bar profile gives strength and ease of fabrication for numerous light structural uses.

Stainless Steel 430 Flat Bar offers moderate resistance to corrosion, but it is less resistant compared to other grades like 304. It is prone to rusting in harsh environments, especially where exposure to chlorides or acids is frequent.
The typical thickness of a Stainless Steel 430 Flat Bar ranges from 3mm to 50mm, though custom sizes can be produced. Thickness often depends on the intended application, with thinner bars used for decorative purposes and thicker ones for structural support.
Stainless Steel 430 Flat Bar is commonly used in industries such as automotive, construction, kitchen appliances, and manufacturing. It is particularly favored for applications requiring moderate corrosion resistance, like exhaust systems, appliances, and decorative trim in architectural projects.
430 flat bars are applied in kitchen appliances, appliance panels, decorative trims, vehicle trims, interior fittings, and light structural uses. Their corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive conditions qualifies them for use in dishwashers, cooking appliances, flue liners, and building interiors. Easy welding, forming, and polishing are facilitated by their flat configuration. SS 430 is extensively used in architectural fabrications, restaurant equipment, and consumer appliances. Chung Metal offers 430 flat bars finished with brushed or polished surfaces in different lengths and thicknesses for commercial and general-purpose industrial applications.
