Stainless Steel 431 Flat Bar is a martensitic stainless steel alloy that contains primarily iron, with 16-18% chromium, 2-3% nickel, and 0.15% carbon. It also contains small quantities of manganese, silicon, and molybdenum. It has good strength and tensile strength at 580-700 MPa and yield strength at 310-480 MPa. With hardness ranging from 250-350 HV, it gives good corrosion resistance, especially in moderately corrosive environments.
