Its typical mechanical properties are tensile strength of 480–700 MPa, yield strength of 170–300 MPa, and elongation of ~35%. The alloy is non-magnetic in the annealed state, easily weldable, and suitable for machining and forming. Flat bar form offers large surface area and even load distribution in structural uses.
