Chung Metal Manufacturer & Suppliers in Da Nang provides stainless steel 316L flat bars of high quality for structural, chemical, and marine use. They are famous for their low carbon content and are highly corrosion resistant. Our 316L flat bars are produced to ASTM standards. Our flat bars can be utilized in severe environments, particularly those that have chlorides or acidic environments. Chung Metal provides custom thicknesses, finishes, and lengths to satisfy client needs. Our skilled team ensures that every flat bar retains dimensional integrity, strength, and surface finish appropriate for hygienic and corrosive conditions.
Stainless Steel 316L consists of ~16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and decreased carbon (<0.03%), enhancing resistance to intergranular corrosion. It possesses tensile strength ~485 MPa, yield strength ~170–310 MPa, and elongation of 40%+. Its hardness is ~95–100 HB. Density is around 8.0 g/cm³. It retains corrosion resistance in chloride-rich and acidic mediums. The molybdenum increases pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. It is weldable with ease and can be utilized in the annealed or cold-worked condition.

Stainless Steel 316L flat bars primarily consist of 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum, with a maximum carbon content of 0.03%. This composition enhances corrosion resistance, especially in chloride-rich environments, making it ideal for demanding applications.
Stainless Steel 316L flat bars are commonly used in industries such as chemical processing, marine, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and petrochemicals. Their high corrosion resistance makes them ideal for applications exposed to aggressive chemicals, saltwater, and high-temperature environments.
The low carbon content in 316L stainless steel reduces carbide precipitation during welding, improving its resistance to intergranular corrosion. This enhances its overall corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride environments, and makes it suitable for applications requiring high strength and durability.
Stainless Steel 316L Flat Bars find themselves perfectly suited for applications in marine environments, chemical storage tanks, and desalination units because of their high resistance against corrosion from saltwater. They are also applied in pharmaceutical processing, food and beverage production, and medical devices due to their hygiene and non-reactive properties. The bars are applicable for structural support, frames, platforms, and architectural trims for coastal and industrial areas. 316L is also utilized in pulp and paper, oil & gas, and wastewater treatment applications. The low carbon variant avoids precipitation of carbide and is ideal for welded structures that must have long service life.
