Chung Metal offers high-performance Stainless Steel 316 Square Bars and Rods, an austenitic grade that is molybdenum-enhanced for enhanced corrosion resistance in marine, chemical, and other corrosive environments. SS 316 is used extensively for load-bearing and fabricated parts where chlorides, acids, and industrial contaminants are encountered. The square section adds strength and machining flexibility. SS 316 consists of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum. It possesses tensile strength of 520–750 MPa, yield strength of 200–300 MPa, and elongation of ~40%. Non-magnetic, weldable, and resistant to corrosion, particularly in chloride-rich environments. The square configuration adds mechanical support and clean fabrication.
