Chung Metal produces Stainless Steel 347H Square Bars and Rods, a high-carbon variation of titanium-stabilized SS 347 for greater creep strength and performance at high temperatures. The bars provide resistance to intergranular corrosion and oxidation under cyclic heat conditions. The square shape suits heavy-duty support frames, thermal process equipment, and high-pressure piping. Chung Metal delivers 347H bars with consistent strength, superb surface finish, and requirements for ASTM A276 and A479 standards.
SS 347H comprises 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, titanium stabilizers, and 0.04–0.10% carbon. Tensile strength is 550–750 MPa and yield strength is 200–300 MPa, with elongation of approximately 35–45%. It functions reliably at temperatures up to 870°C. Weldable and non-magnetic, the square profile provides rigidity and strength for structural applications.

Stainless Steel 347H Square Bars offer excellent high-temperature strength, resistance to intergranular corrosion, and superior weldability. They are ideal for applications in extreme environments, such as chemical processing and heat exchangers.
Yes, Stainless Steel 347H Square Bars are fully recyclable and retain their properties after recycling. This makes them an environmentally sustainable choice for various applications.
No, Stainless Steel 347H Square Bars are generally non-magnetic in their annealed condition. However, slight magnetism may develop after cold working.
347H square bars/rods are utilized for boiler tubes, pressure vessels, exhaust manifolds, refinery units, and furnace components. Their high carbon level gives them strength under heat stress, and they are best suited for petrochemical plants, heat exchangers, and thermal cracking systems. The square profile is ideal in base structures, heat shields, and heavy-load mounts. SS 347H is also utilized in nuclear and power industries where both thermal and mechanical performance are equally important. Chung Metal provides 347H bars in annealed or heat-treated conditions to achieve better stability and weldability.
