SS 410 has 11.5–13.5% chromium and approximately 0.15% carbon. It provides tensile strength of 700–1000 MPa and yield strength of 450–700 MPa following heat treatment. Magnetic and hardenable, it also provides moderate corrosion resistance. Its square shape increases strength in structural use and in machining processes.
