Customers in tooling, aerospace, automotive, and energy industries depend on our 8630 alloy to manufacture long‑lasting, wear‑resistant components for heavy-duty use.
AISI 8630 is a nickel‑chromium‑molybdenum low‑alloy steel containing about 0.30% C, 1.25% Cr, 0.30% Mo, 0.40% Ni, and traces of Mn, Si, S, P. It can undergo through‑hardening and carburizing. In quenched and tempered state, tensile strength up to 850–1,100 MPa, yield strength ~700–900 MPa, with elongation ~12–20%. Hardness can go up to ~280–350 HB (or higher based on heat treatment). It offers superior toughness, fatigue life, and machinability. The alloy is highly responsive to carburizing, nitriding, and surface treatments.
