Chung Metal provides Alloy Steel F9 Bars and Rods for power plant and high temperature application where enhanced creep strength and longevity are required. F9 is applied to superheated steam applications and high-stress elevated temperature environments. Our F9 product is manufactured with controlled chemistry, heat treatment, and inspection for compliance with performance specifications. Customers in energy, boiler, and petrochemical industries depend on us for support structures, tubing connectors, and other vital parts using our F9 rods. Alloy Steel F9 is a creep-strength ferritic steel probable to be alloyed with other stabilizers, molybdenum, and chromium. Typical tensile strength may be ~600–750 MPa, yield strength ~350–500 MPa, with elongation ~15–25%. Hardness moderate to high following tempering. It has higher creep resistance than more basic steels, stable microstructure at elevated temperature, and good toughness. Weldability by means of pre‑ and post‑heat treatments is feasible. The alloy finds service in hot steam or high-temperature mechanical loading.
