Alloy Steel F91 (UNS K90901, ASTM A182 F91 etc.) is normally of ~0.08‑0.12% carbon; ~8.5‑9.5% chromium; ~0.85‑1.05% molybdenum; vanadium ~0.18‑0.25%; niobium (columbium) ~0.06‑0.10%; manganese, silicon in moderate quantities, P,S very small. Mechanical properties: tensile strength of over ~620 MPa (≈90 ksi), yield ~415 MPa (≈60 ksi), elongation at least ~20%, with high reduction of area. The steel possesses high hardness (after tempering), good creep resistance up to around 600‑650°C, good thermal fatigue strength, and oxidation resistance.
