Da Nang’s Chung Metal offers high-purity Aluminium 1060 rods and bars, produced to close tolerances with fine surface finish and dimensional integrity. 99.6% minimum aluminium content is the composition of this type, belonging to the 1xxx series. Electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and formability are all vastly improved with this grade. Aluminium 1060 finds extensive use where strength is not the main consideration, but ductility and conductivity are essential. Our 1060 bars and rods can be used for commercial as well as industrial purposes, such as decorative and electrical works. Aluminium 1060 has ≥99.6% aluminium, with minute quantities of iron and silicon. It has very good electrical conductivity (≈59% IACS), thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance. Tensile strength is ~70–100 MPa, yield strength ~30–60 MPa, and elongation over 40% in annealed (O) condition. It’s not heat treatable, but cold working hardens it. Hardness is low, appropriate for bending and shaping. It’s extremely reflective and polishable, making it suitable for appearance and electrical uses.
