Chung Metal provides Aluminium 1070 Bars and Rods for use in high electrical conductivity, corrosion protection, and ease of workability applications. At over 99.7% purity, aluminium, 1070 is a soft, ductile alloy suitable for conductive and non-load-bearing parts. Our bars and rods are precision-cut for uniformity and are applicable for deep drawing, bending, and welding. 1070 is a material of choice for the electrical, food, and lighting industries because it is non-toxic and corrosion-resistant, with ease of fabrication.
Aluminium 1070 contains ~99.7% aluminium, with impurities like iron and silicon. It possesses a tensile strength of 90–140 MPa, yield strength of 30–50 MPa, and elongation of 35–50%. It is not heat-treatable. Brinell hardness is of the order of 30–40 HB. It possesses excellent conductivity (~62% IACS) and corrosion resistance. Cold working enhances strength a bit while maintaining ductility.
