Chung Metal produces Aluminium 1100 Bars and Rods to serve customers requiring superior workability, corrosion resistance, and thermal/electrical conductivity. Aluminium 1100 is commercially pure (99.0% minimum) and applied to a vast majority of non-structural applications. Our bars and rods are cold-rolled or extruded to close dimensional tolerances. They exhibit high ductility, are non-heat treatable, and particularly suited for food-safe and chemical-resistant parts, as well as decorative and conductive uses.
Aluminium 1100 contains 99.0% or higher aluminium with small traces of copper, silicon, and iron. It possesses tensile strength of 90–150 MPa, yield strength of 35–60 MPa, and elongation of 35–50%. Hardness is usually 35 HB. It possesses superior thermal and electrical conductivity along with resisting oxidation and chemical corrosion well. It is readily machined, bent, or stamped into form.
