Chung Metal manufactures Aluminium 7075 Bars and Rods in Da Nang, Vietnam, with high-strength wrought products for demanding aerospace and structural applications. Alloy 7075 is a zinc‑magnesium‑copper aluminium alloy with outstanding strength, fatigue resistance, and toughness. Our rods/bars are heat treated to tempers like T6, T73, T651, etc., with close diameter tolerances and quality surface finishes. Best suited to those parts where weight saving and high mechanical performance are essential, including aircraft components, gears, shafts, and tooling. The strength and lightness of the alloy make it precious.
Alloy 7075 has ~5.1‑6.1% zinc, 2.1‑2.9% magnesium, 1.2‑2.0% copper, 0.18‑0.28% chromium, minor iron, silicon, manganese, titanium, and trace elements. Ultimate tensile strength ~570‑610 MPa, yield strength ~500‑540 MPa, elongation 8‑11% in T6 temper. In T651 temper, comparable tensile/yield but improved stress corrosion characteristics. Hardness ~150‑160 HB. Density ≈2.81 g/cm³. Modulus of elasticity ~71.7 GPa. Excellent fatigue strength.

Applied to heavily stressed components: aircraft fittings, wing spars, missile and aerospace structural elements, high-performance shafts, gears, and valves. Also in applications such as mould tooling, high-performance bicycle frames, mountings that must have strength along with light weight. Tooling, fixtures, and end uses where the fatigue strength is paramount. Since corrosion resistance is moderate, frequently used with surface treatments or where not exposed to harsh environments. Difficult to weld; design frequently eschews welded joints.
