Stainless Steel 410 has around 11.5–13.5% chromium and up to 0.15% carbon, and little or no nickel content. It has a good mechanical strength and can be hardened using heat treatment. Tensile strength is from 450 to 700 MPa, yield strength is about 275 MPa, and it has a hardness of up to 50 HRC when tempered. 410 is ferromagnetic and possesses a good wear resistance. While having a lower corrosion resistance than austenitic grades, it holds up in mildly corrosive conditions.
