Chung Metal exports Stainless Steel 317 Hollow Bars from its state-of-the-art mill in Da Nang, Vietnam. Grade 317 stainless steel is a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel alloyed for use in more aggressive environments. Unlike type 317L, it has a slightly higher carbon content and a higher strength level. Chung Metal exports 317 hollow bars precision cut to length and size, and they are especially suitable for chemical processing, marine, and pollution control equipment applications.
Stainless Steel 317 contains 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, with up to 0.08% carbon content. This gives it higher tensile strength (up to 700 MPa), yield strength of about 205–275 MPa, and elongation of 35–40%. The added carbon adds strength but weakens weldability marginally over 317L. 317’s corrosion resistance and non-magnetic properties remain under typical service conditions and are stable over a broad temperature range.

SS 317 Hollow Bars typically contain 18-20% chromium, 3-4% molybdenum, 13-15% nickel, with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon. This composition provides excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against chlorides, and enhances its strength at high temperatures.
