Chung Metal provides multifaceted Stainless Steel 304 Round Bars and Rods, the most versatile of the austenitic stainless steels. SS 304 has superior corrosion resistance, strength, and formability and is ideal for a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications. The round bar shape is most suitable for rotating components, shafts, fasteners, and structural elements. Our Chung Metal’s 304 round bars are produced to close dimensional tolerances with smooth surface finishes, conforming to ASTM standards for mechanical and chemical performance in various industries.
SS 304 has 18–20% chromium and 8–10.5% nickel. Its tensile strength is 500–750 MPa, yield strength is 200–300 MPa, and elongation is ~40%. It is non-magnetic in the annealed state, and it provides superior corrosion resistance as well as mechanical stability. Round form is beneficial for high-speed machining and fabrication.
