Chung Metal provides Stainless Steel 317 Hex Bars and Rods, a high-performance stainless steel for extreme environments with severe chloride or chemical exposure. Produced in Da Nang, Vietnam, this high-molybdenum, high-nickel alloy provides enhanced corrosion resistance and strength over traditional 316 grades. Chung Metal supplies 317 hex bars in a variety of sizes and finishes, well-suited for pressure systems, chemical plants, and marine engineering.
317 has 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and carbon ≤ 0.08%. It provides tensile strength of up to 700 MPa, yield strength ~205–275 MPa, and elongation ~35–40%. It is not magnetic and maintains very good strength and corrosion resistance even under thermal and chemical stress.
