Chung Metal’s Stainless Steel 904L hex bars are corrosion-resistant, high-alloy components made in Da Nang for heavy-duty chemical, marine, and industrial use. The hexagonal shape allows them to be adaptable for fasteners, fittings, and shafts that have multiple flat surfaces. SS 904L hex bars are advantageous with high content of nickel, molybdenum, and copper, providing them with outstanding protection against corrosive acids, saltwater, and chlorides stress. We manufacture them with close tolerance, fine surface finishes, and uniform microstructure. SS 904L hex bars have ~25‑28 % chromium, ~20‑25 % nickel, ~4‑5 % molybdenum, ~1‑2 % copper, traces of carbon (<0.02 %) along with potential nitrogen additions. Mechanical properties: tensile strength 500‑700 MPa range, yield strength ~200‑300 MPa, elongation 40‑50 %. Hardness usually within 150‑230 HB range, processing dependent. Very good toughness and ductility, even at cryogenic to high temperatures. Excellent resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride media.
