Chung Metal produces high-performance Stainless Steel 321H Hex Bars/Rods, a high-carbon alloy of SS 321 for higher creep resistance and strength at elevated temperatures. SS 321H is commonly used where there is prolonged exposure to heat and mechanical loading. Hexagonal shape gives extra grip and torque in assemblies and fittings. Chung Metal uses precision tolerances and uniform mechanical properties in all 321H hex bars produced, which are well adapted for high-heat service and demanding structural environments like boilers, refinery equipment, and aerospace structures.
SS 321H is composed of 17–19% chromium and 9–13% nickel along with titanium, with a carbon level between 0.04–0.10%. It provides better high-temperature strength than regular 321. The tensile strength is 550–750 MPa, yield strength is 200–300 MPa, and elongation is 30–40%. It has outstanding oxidation resistance up to 900°C. The hex bar profile provides structural stability and torque compatibility for mechanical connections. It is non-magnetic and very weldable.
